The practice nurses offer a comprehensive service for people planning to travel abroad, and can give advice and any vaccinations necessary. Please book an appointment with one of the practice nurses at least 2 months prior to travel, to allow sufficient time for a full course of injections if necessary.
We are able to offer Yellow Fever injections to our patients and people registered with other practices. There is a charge for this service. Please ask the Reception team for details of the current charge.
It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible - at least 6 weeks before you travel - as a second appointment will be required with the practice nurse to actually receive the vaccinations. These vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine. Your second appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.
Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.
PLEASE NOTE - The below travel form is for Registered Patients only. If you would like to have a yellow fever vaccination please contact the surgery on 02476322810.
